The name, Robin Williams will always bring up his inanely expressive faces and his much adored and always shifting personas. He has made millions smile with his comic timing, impeccable impersonations and witty roles and given us some unforgettable characters like the inimitable Mrs. Doubtfire, Radio Jockey Adrian Cronauer, Genie of Aladdin, Sean Maguire of Good Will Hunting, an adult Peter Pan in Hook and many more. He will also be remembered for his more intense roles in movies like Awakenings, Dead poets society, Patch Adams, The World According to Garp, among many others. He won the academy award for best supporting performance in Good Will Hunting in 1997.

But behind all the assorted, humorous masks of this revered actor, there lurked a man who battled with the blackness of depression and substance abuse. Like all clowns who make the outer world smile with their antics but remained unhappy within, Robin Williams also proved that to be true and left this world at the age of 63, of what has been suspected as suicide. Thus this day of 11th August 2014, we lost a veteran actor and talented artist.
Leaving behind the tragedy of losing this beloved actor, let us instead remember some of his much-loved roles.

As Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting

As RJAdrian Cronauer in Good Morning Vietnam

As Mrs. Doubtfire in Mrs. Doubtfire

As John Keating in Dead Poets Society

As the voice of Genie in Aladdin

As Peter Pan in Hook
